The NYU Tisch School of the Arts, more popularly known as Tisch or TSOA, is among the organizations that benefit from the philanthropy of financier extraordinaire Alex von Furstenberg. Founded in 1965, Tisch is one of the 15 schools that make up New York University, best known for its acting and film programs. The school aims to provide rigorous conservatory in film, theater, and dance in the context of a large research university.
